New report from IPCC: Immediate action and collaboration needed
The UN’s Intergovermental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has released a new report on adaptations needed to stop climate change. The report present lifestyle changes and adaptations that can be implemented on a local or regional level for the climate.
Climate change is not only a threat to the health of the planet, but also to human health and well-being. In the report, the IPCC presents proposals for possible adaptations and actions to take at a local, regional and global level. The IPCC points out that actions and adaptations to stop climate change need to take place here and now. Through cooperation and global measures, we can ensure that the earth is habitable also in the future, but we must act quickly.
In the report, the IPCC also points to the strong link between science and social and economic issues. Through cooperation between various social actors such as governments, the private sector and civil society, the risks posed by climate change can be minimized. Risk minimization as well as justice both economically and socially need to be prioritized both politically and economically.
