About me

I'm an optometrist and my background includes a BCs in Optics and Optometry obtained by the University of Milan-Bicocca, in Italy, and a Professional MSc in Clinical Optometry from University of Latvia. Along the way, I developed a keen interest in the Metaverse, particularly focusing on the interaction between these technologies and the visual system. My goal is to help to bridge the gap between optometry and the digital world, exploring the implications of VR devices on vision and eye health. One of my biggest goals is to increase the culture around the world of optometry itself for informational, educational and preventive purposes. Outside of my professional endeavors, I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking or gardening. But on Irish rainy days l prefer to knit or to read cyberpunk books. My motto is “Estote parati” ("Be ready").
