Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

The choice of a project field is the basis for the course; the whole course is a project and each group in the course will only be able to deliver a limited result to the final project result. All earlier learnt technology and designkunskaper will be needed in this course. On this basis in the course, through the project, come the student to continue study, discuss and learn his role as engineer and design engineer in society.

The following subjects will be processed:

  • Computer-aid for design with document handling (CAD with PLM)
  • Project planning and review documentation
  • Design of technical posters

Intended learning outcomes

After passing the course, the student should be able to:

1. prepare and execute a project plan for a product development project

2.    account for the importance of teamwork and cooperation in multi-disciplinary and multicultural project groups

3.    Identify and evaluate one's own behaviour in working groups and relate this to the dynamics of the working group

4)    evaluate new technologies and describe the changes that the technical development means for society

5)    identify, prioritise and apply relevant design parameters for the product development

6.    orally, in writing and by means of required physical models present the result of a product development project

7. identify and apply different approaches and positions with regard to ethnicity, diversity, ethics and gender
