About me

I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Particle and Astroparticle Physics Group at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden. My research interests include Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs), Pulsars, and Bayesian Astrostatistics.

I was born in Hong Kong in 1987. Graduated from the St. Louis School in 2006, I went to the University of Hong Kong for my bachelor's and master's degree in Astrophysics. In 2012 I moved to Garching near Bavaria, Germany for my doctorate study on Observational High-Energy Astrophysics at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics. I obtained my German doctor's degree (Dr. rer. nat., Doctor of Natural Science) at the Technical University of Munich in 2016.

I do active Science popularisation in Hong Kong and Taiwan. I co-authored a popular Science book Secrets from the Stars, published in 2017 by the Arcadia Press Ltd. in Hong Kong. I am the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Physics Bimonthly, Physical Society of Taiwan; Science Consultant of Cosmos, Stand News; External Vice-President of Starrix. I am also lucky enough to be interviewed by and featured on TV, radio, and newspapers numerous times.
