New light optical microscope (LOM)

A new LOM, Olympus – BX53M, with a motorized stage for image stitching and dynamic focus has been installed.

The Hultgren Laboratory's new Light Optical Microscope (LOM) is an Olympus BX35M.

This is an upright conventional LOM, which is equipped with a motorized stage in x, y, z for image stitching and dynamic focus. Users can view their sample in bright field, dark field, polarized light observation or via an LED Lightsource.

The microscope is connected to a computer with the PRECiV software via a DP23 digital camera.
